Applying for Funding
The Jersey Community Foundation was founded in 2020 with the aim of making a positive difference to local lives. We give grant funding support to charities, community and voluntary groups in Jersey whose work benefits our community.
More Information
We support Jersey registered charities, and/or excepted foreign charities as defined under the Charities (Jersey) Law 2014, and community and voluntary groups in Jersey whose work is charitable in purpose and benefits our communities. The criteria will vary depending on which fund you are applying for so it’s important you check the fund details.
If you are not sure about your eligibility, it is important to contact us before filling out an application.
We are currently distributing funds from a number of funds. Please click on the fund details to see the criteria.
There is an online application process. Applicants can get in touch with our grants team on grants@jerseycommunityfoundation.org if they wish to discuss their request before beginning the application process. A call or face to face meeting can be arranged if necessary to advise and support applicants where required.
You will need to complete the online application form and upload supporting documents. There is a detailed application guidance document available to download from the individual fund page to help you during the application process and our grants team are happy to answer any questions you may have during the process.
The amount awarded per grant varies depending on which fund you are applying to and you will find a maximum amount awarded against each of the funds. Whilst there is some flexibility, there is usually a cap of £50,000 on grants to any one organisation in any financial year.
Once we have received your full online application and supporting documents, we will process your application. During the assessment period, your application will be considered by our internal Grants Committee and Advisory Groups, before going to the Board who will make the final decision.
Deadlines for applications are available on the individual fund pages. The Board will meet to review and assess applications on a regular basis and will endeavour to confirm outcomes as quickly as possible.
All grantees will be required to complete an End of Grant and/or Progress Reports. These are important as they help you and us to assess whether you achieved what you set out to do in your application, to identify any unexpected results and any learning that we can both use and share.
Our grants process is designed to be as simple as possible but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our grants team.We are unable to offer funding retrospectively for projects and activity which have already been delivered.
If you want your application to be considered across more than one of the funds listed or have more than one project you wish to apply for, please contact us.
