Police dependants' Fund
The Jersey Police Dependants’ Trust was established in 1982 with an initial donation from the Butlin Family Charity Trust. JCF took over the management of the Trust in 2023 and has renamed the Fund "The Police Dependents' Fund". The Fund is one of JCF’s restricted Themed Funds and may be added to at any time with donations from the public.

Background
The Jersey Police Dependants’ Trust was established in 1982 with an initial donation from the Butlin Family Charity Trust. JCF took over the management of the Trust in 2023 and has renamed the Fund "The Police Dependants' Fund". The Fund currently stands at £52,000 and is one of JCF’s restricted Themed Funds. The fund may be added to at any time with donations from the public.
The aim of the trust was to provide financial assistance to those in need within the following:

Police Officers (paid or honorary)

Dependants of a Police Officer or a deceased Police Officer

Person who sustained an injury in rendering assistance to a Police Officer acting in the execution of their duty

Dependant of any such person mentioned above (c) or any person who may have died (whether or not in consequence of any such injury)
(“Police Officer” means and includes, whether paid or honorary and whether serving or retired, of the Police Force in the Island of Jersey)
("Dependant" means an individual who is financially dependant on the qualifying individual)
Fund Guidelines
Applications for funding from the Jersey Police Dependants’ Fund can be made at any time, and money from the fund is distributed quickly and efficiently to help those in need.
A robust and dedicated panel consisting of people with diverse backgrounds is responsible for contributing their expertise and reviewing applications.
